NMEA Bluetooth Access
Turns an Android phone into an NMEA 0183 instrument. It streams the phone's GPS position, heading, roll and pitch, rate of turn, pressure, temperature, humidity and time over Bluetooth to a chartplotter, navigation computer or laptop.
What it sends
- GPS: the phone's own NMEA sentences, a filtered set (GSV, GSA, VTG, RMC, GGA), or sentences built from each location fix.
- Heading: HDG with your compass deviation and the local magnetic variation, or Freeboard IMU output with roll and pitch.
- Rate of turn: ROT from the gyroscope.
- Weather: XDR pressure, temperature and humidity, on phones that have those sensors.
- Time: ZDA date and time.
Each source has its own interval, and streaming can continue in the background with an ongoing notification.
